Tessa Cheng is a PhD Candidate in the Faculty of Health Sciences at SFU and trainee with the BC Centre on Substance Use. Her research focuses on nonmedical prescription opioid use among people in Vancouver who also use illicit drugs. She holds a Masters in Public Policy from SFU and is currently working as a Health Research Development Officer in UBC’s SPARC (Support Programs to Advance Research Capacity) office.
