Dr. Klassen-Ross has a PhD in Health Psychology and is an Assistant Professor at UNBC. Her research interests include neurodegeneration (especially of the frontal lobe) since it appears to alter behavioural pain expressions. She is interested in exploring these neurodegenerative changes using the Facial Action Coding system (FACS) and Near Infrared Spectoscopy (NIRS).
