Dr. Ruth Grunau is a professor in the Division of Neonatology, Department of Pediatrics; and is an associate member of the Department of Psychology at UBC. She recently received the 2018 Jeffrey Lawson Award for Advocacy in Children’s Pain Relief. Her research interests include: long-term effects of neonatal pain in vulnerable developmental windows; infant pain assessment; and pain in hospitalized infants.
