Boerner received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Dalhousie University, where she conducted research at the IWK Centre for Pediatric Pain Research under the supervision of Dr. Christine Chambers. Her research and clinical interests are in understanding the biopsychosocial factors involved in the developmental trajectory of youth with chronic pain, with a particular interest in the impact of sex and gender. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at BC Children’s Hospital.
