Dr. Charlyn Black is a Professor and the Associate Director of the School of Population and Public Health at UBC. Her research interests include: a general understanding of the neurophysiologic bases of pain that arises from functional, rather than structural causes. She is particularly interested in understanding effectiveness and patient outcomes associated with non-traditional approaches to pain management and improvement.
