Dr. Angelita Henrique is a postdoctoral research fellow in the UBC School of Nursing. Her specific focus is the pain in childbirth, but is also interested in the study of pain in general, mainly in women. Currently, she is studying the meaning and relational autonomy on pain management. Since 2010 she has studied childbirth pain and its effects on physical, psychological and neuroendocrine hormone release.
