Judy Illes and Kristine Chapman Warn of Danger in Using Stem Cell Therapy Treatment for Peripheral Neuropathy

In a recent article titled Kristine Chapman and Judy Illes: Stem cells claims are ahead of the science, Chapman and BC Pain Research Network member Judy Illes warn the public to be aware of luring advertisements for ineffective and potentially dangerous treatments. While some products for which health claims are made may have no effect or are simply innocuous, they are concerned that recent ads for stem-cell therapy have misled and exploited patients who are physically and emotionally vulnerable from their pain, and put them in harm’s way.
